Curalern Health is an independent healthcare education platform. We believe that people make better decisions when they understand the system they are dealing with — so we explain it, patiently and in plain language.

Helping South Africans make confident healthcare decisions through education. That sentence guides everything we publish. It means we measure our success by how well you understand your options, not by how many enquiries we receive.
Our tagline — Understand first. Decide with confidence. — describes the order we believe things should happen in. Understanding comes first. Everything else follows from it.

We explain, define and illustrate. We never nudge, urge or pressure. If something is complicated, we say so and then unpack it.

Our educational content does not name providers or products, and nothing we publish is a recommendation or an assessment of what suits you. Our only interest is that you understand your options.
Written for real households
Families, young professionals and retirees all approach healthcare differently. Our content is written with those real situations in mind.
Compassion
Healthcare decisions are often made during stressful times. We write calmly, respectfully and without alarm.
What we are not
We are not a medical scheme, an insurer or a healthcare provider. We do not process applications, approve cover, underwrite, issue quotations or decide which product suits your circumstances, and nothing we publish should be read as financial, medical or legal advice. When you need advice about your personal circumstances, speak to an appropriately accredited professional.
Education and product enquiries are separate
Our educational content is independent and stays that way. Separately from it, a visitor may choose to ask for product information. Where someone expressly requests that and gives consent, we may pass the relevant details to a clearly identified product provider so that their representative can contact the person directly about products, options and the quotation or application process. That is always a separate, clearly marked step — it never happens automatically from reading our content or sending a general enquiry, and it does not mean Curalern has recommended anything.
